If you’re looking for an opportunity to get out of the house, make new friends and participate in exciting activities, then look no further. New Friends of Carolina (NFC) is what you’ve been looking for. Founded in 1989 as a not- for- profit social club for women, NFC welcomes both new comers to the Carolinas as well as those who have lived here for years.

There’s no need for concern about pressure. You’ll find the members of our club to be both friendly and welcoming. They simply want you to join in the activities and have some fun. There’s something for everyone. For a complete list of activities see INTEREST GROUPS below.Learn More

President's Message

February is the shortest month of the year and the third and last month of meteorological winter.  Looking for a way to keep warm and find something to do while indoors?  Have no fear!  NFC is here!

How about going the BHG’s Souper Luncheon? No food warms you up more than a good hot bowl of homemade soup in winter.  Or, learn how to play a new game.  Our club has several groups that love to play card games (Pinochle is our newest group and looking for players), Bunco, and Mah Jong.  Attend the play Miss Saigon or enjoy a movie with friends. Perhaps you would like to learn a new craft?  We have a new Crafters Group starting this month, check out the calendar for more information.

If you also want to warm your heart and those of others, how about offering to cook up a special Birthday dish for one the girls at Present Age Ministries. The girl’s select what they would like to eat and we will prepare it for them.  We heard a heart wrenching story of how one of the girl’s had never had a birthday celebration before coming to Present Age Ministries and how thankful and appreciative she was of the special meal that was prepared for her. The girl had asked the group leader repeatedly to thank those who made the meal for her.  More details and signup can be found online.

Special thanks to the Anniversary Committee who planned a fun 30th Anniversary celebration.  And, thank you to all the Past Presidents who attended – one traveling from as far as Hilton Head! We look forward to continuing to share our traditions and creating new ones as our membership grows and changes.
