President's Message

Pauline Trautman

Hello Ladies,

Are we all tired of the heat and humidity yet?   I can say with certainty that I have had enough.  What makes it worse is the fact that we have to wear our masks.

I do not leave the house without mine.

The Board decided after much consideration of our members’ safety and health that we are finally beginning to hold some events.  Bunco 2 is meeting twice a month with groups of eight.  This allows 16 ladies to attend per month.  Lunch Brunch and Ladies Night Out are also holding events and to date they have been well attended.  If some of our other groups feel safe hosting the events for which they are responsible, please do so in small groups.

It was wonderful to see 29 ladies attend the July Membership Luncheon.  We all felt very safe at Mario’s/John’s Place.  Everyone arrived with their masks on and removed them once we sat down for lunch.  The restaurant did a great job of setting us up in a private room with tables of four.  I want to give a shout out to our VP of Luncheons:  Barbara Scott-Cannon and Moira Yeager.  They have a wonderful year planned for us.  Several different restaurants have been chosen.

Hope to soon see you out and about or at an event.

Stay Healthy and safe.  We will get through this trying time together.

Pauline

VP of Membership
Susan Brandenburg

Even during the pandemic we welcome two new members this month, Monya Thomas and Abbey Campbell. If you see them at an event please welcome them.  Groups are starting to open with safety precautions in place.  When you are ready, we are ready for you!  I certainly miss all my "new friends".   If you are out and about and meet new ladies be sure to invite them to give us a look. New Friends of Carolina is a great place to make new and lasting friends.
