| Happy Columbus Day,
Lots to think about this week.
- October Luncheon - We still have 10 spaces left to hear Frank Sinatra's music and enjoy wonderful Italian food. Last day for signup is Thursday, October 16th at noon. You won't want to miss this one.
- Pumpkin Pictures - Don't forget to submit your pumpkin pictures to our historian to get special recognition and a small gift at the October luncheon. It could be your collection of pumpkins, your freshly carved Halloween pumpkin, or just your favorite pumpkin photo from the past. No AI pictures please.
- Friends Giving - Thursday, November 13th, Noon - 2:00 pm. The Clubhouse at Heritage South. Registration is open. Ladies Night Out canceled their event the evening before so everyone would be able to enjoy the meal on Thursday.
- Second Harvest Food Bank - We still have 1 space left for volunteer opportunities on October 30th. Please check the calendar for details. Don't forget to bring non perishables to events this month noted on the home page. Mexican Train, Appetizers with Friends, and the October Luncheon.
- Beginner Canasta - Jessica Peach will be conducting Beginner Canasta classes at her home, the first Tuesday of each month 10:30 - 2:00. Please reach out to Jessica if you are interested in learning Canasta or brushing up on your skills. britishpeach@gmail.com or 704-572-1310.
- Holiday Luncheon - Please mark your calendar for our Annual Holiday Luncheon. This year we will have a delicious Buffet Brunch at Ballantyne Country Club. Thursday, December 11th, Social 10:30, Brunch at 11:00. We will not be having a gift exchange this year but Santa says "Don't worry, you won't go home empty handed". This event will open on November 1st as we must have final numbers by November 28th.
- Care and Concern - Angie Glender fractured wrist.
