I want to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving.  

Hard to believe that when you are reading this it is only a week to this wonderful holiday. Hope you all enjoy and be safe if you are travelling.

It has come to my attention that another long time member of New Friends passed away and the information was not passed onto neither Susan Brandenburg nor myself.If you hear of a Member, either passing away or sick please let us know. Shirley Harris was originally from South Africa. I learned at a funeral that I attended, that she recently passed. Shirley loved to play Mah Jongg and attended the monthly luncheons. 

Last month’s luncheon was a big success. We had Talbot’s do a style show for the group. This was very well attended. Talbot’s gave away 10  - $50 gift cards along with several little Broaches. It was a really fun event. Thanks again to Barbara & Moira for arranging.

We would like to start a game day. We are looking for someone to head this event. You would only need to put information on the website, contact the host as to what game she has chosen to play.  It would not be a very involved position at all. Hopefully we have a member out there that would be interested. If so please let me know.

  We welcome new member Marjorie Volk this month!  If you see her at an event, please welcome her.  Groups are starting to open with safety precautions in place.  When you are ready, we are ready for you!  I certainly miss all my "new friends."  If you are out and about and meet new ladies, be sure to invite them to give us a look. New Friends of Carolina is a great place to make new and lasting friends.

We lost three New Friends of Carolina members this month: Ann Thompson, Shirley Harris, and Roberta Rossi. Cards were sent to the families.  A card was also sent to Linda Arent for the loss of her husband.  Our sympathy goes out to all families.

If you know of any member that may need a condolence, get well, or encouragement card, please let Susan know.  We want to support our members in time of need.
