Dear Book Lovers,
At the February meeting, Carol and I asked our members to use the NFC website (www.newfriendsofcarolina.com) to register for Book Lovers meetings by December of this year. This month, it would be great if every Book Lover access the NFC website, make sure you have your membership id & password in place, and sign up to be a Book Lover. Here is how to accomplish these tasks:
1. Member ID and Password: You all received this information previously, but many have misplaced it. To retrieve your information, please call or email Missy McLaughlin at 704-817-8208 or missymcl131@gmail.com She is the club webmaster and trainer. She is very helpful and there are no stupid questions. She will guide you through the process of setting up your profile using the proper Member ID and Password.
2. Once you have accomplished Step 1, signing up to be a member of Book Lovers "club" can be completed following the instructions below.
Go to www.newfriendsofcarolina.com
Click on Member Login at the top right of the screen.
Log in using your username and password.
At the top right, you will see your name. When you
hover your cursor over your name, a drop down box will
appear below. Click on “Profile”, which will bring up the
next screen Member Profile.
At the Member Profile page, go to the Personal Info
Section. Click on “Clubs/Additional Members ”.
At the Clubs/Additional Members, you will see your name
and next to it a link that says "Add a Club" - click it on.
The Select Club screen will pop up.
Locate the down arrow. Click the down arrow and it will show
you a drop down menu: New Friends of Carolina>DIY>
Food and Drink>Games>Social>Sports.
Book Lovers is listed under the Social category.
Next to each of these menu items is a tiny box with a "+ "sign in it.
Click the "+" sign and the list will expand with names of clubs
(formerly known as Interest Groups). Click on a club
that you want to join and then hit "Save". You will be
brought back to the Clubs/Additional Members Page
from which you can then add another club if you choose.
When you are all done selecting clubs hit the "Done"
button at the bottom of the Clubs/Additional Members.
Ta Da! You are now accessing the website, and you have enrolled as a Book Lover. Next Month we will give instructions on how to register on the calendar for Book Lovers Meetings. Remember, Missy will assist you through any of these steps if you get confused.
